Waterfront estates, coastally inspired architecture, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world await in Seaside. Everything from oceanfront condos to cozy cottages, to beach bungalows and newly built modern homes can be found here in this hip, contemporary community. A popular destination for its beaches, festive celebrations, and delicious restaurants, Seaside is very family-friendly and home to some of the best schools in the state. A picturesque stretch of Gulf shoreline is home to some of the brightest, white beaches in the world and a carefully planned community that has served as the model for many of the area’s nearby towns. 

Celebrations of the Seaside lifestyle are present through the local parks, festivals, cafes, marketplaces, and every other aspect of life. Arguably, the best way to start off an exciting day is a hot cup of Joe from Amavida Coffee. The region’s best organic coffee roasters have mastered everyone’s espresso-laiden favorites, all of which are prepared and served in a bright, comfortable space. Great Southern Cafe is a popular spot for those looking to satisfy their Cajun and Creole cravings no matter what time of day. Southern-inspired brunch classics like the fried green tomato eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy are enjoyed in the morning, while “grits a ya ya,” a local favorite, are savored all afternoon and evening. Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is another Seaside gem that has built a solid reputation across several generations. A varied menu consists of crabcakes, a popular housemade chicken salad, and other southern favorites served on their spacious patio overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. For evenings spent at home, a stop at Modica Market is essential. This gourmet grocery store was famously featured on “The Truman Show” and is still just as bustling today. Locals enjoy convenient pre-made items to go, locally curated pantry staples, a towering wine wall, and anything else necessary to make a simple day at home all that more special. Across the way, Coleman Beach Pavilion is home to all there is to love about Florida’s northern Gulf coast. Before enjoying dinner and drinks, visitors can head down to take in the scenery on the beach, which is directly connected to the pavilion. Ruskin Park is another beautiful spot to take in Seaside’s scenery. A collection of three-story homes surround this park, a popular spot for weddings and other celebrations. Seaside also hosts a number of fun events throughout the year, like the Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K. Taking place at the start of the year, the race benefits Seaside Neighborhood School, the oldest charter school in the state. 

Seaside is home to some of Florida’s finest educational institutions. Seaside Neighborhood School was one of the first charter schools established in Florida. Today, it is the highest rated upper/high school in the state, and offers unique opportunities to students. Students score highly on college entrance exams, enrollment in advanced placement courses is high, and students have the chance to graduate high school with an associate’s degree.
